Trainers & Committee

Kelli (Secretary/Life Skills Trainer)
Hi, I’m Kelli, dogs have all ways been huge part of my life. For the last 7 years, I have been a dog trainer. My role is to provide you with effective, professional & humane training for your dog.  Training that makes your life easier, by teaching your dog how to behave and live within the rules and structure of normal family life. This knowledge transforms relationships. My focus is on creating joyful and respectful relationships between people and the animals that enrich our lives so much. I'm also going into the world of dog walking.

I started helping out in the last year. In that time my role has become more behind the scenes helping with the running of the club.

Chris (Commtiee Member)

My day job is working for a FTSE 10 company in a senior management role. I bring this commercial experience to ensure the club runs smoothly.

Dave (Puppy Trainer)

I have been training dogs since the late 90’s starting with our rescue Collie X/GSD “Moses” in obedience at companion shows. As uninitiated, as I was, it was a complete eye opener and entry into the wonderful world of activities that are available for our faithful companions. I now have “Pip” who is now eleven. With whom I managed to get to the final of the Kennel Clubs Special Pre-beginner obedience stakes at Crufts in 2014, and the National Obedience Class Finals in 2015. In obedience competition we got to A & B. In heelwork to music, she got a first in starters at Paws in the Park. I also have “Amber” now a 4 year old working line Golden Retriever. Very quick to learn and highly motivated, in fact exhausting at times. She is currently in novice and A classes at obedience, has got her Bronze level certificate in Scent Detection and working for her Silver. We are training for search and rescue as well. To keep up with the dogs I joined a companion dog training club and, as is the way, ended up becoming club secretary, trainer and examiner for the Kennel Clubs Good Citizen Dog Scheme. An Advanced Professional member of the PDTI (Pet Dog Training Instructors) – having started at their entry level. I have been judging at companion shows since 2008 becoming “official “ in 2016 passing the Kennel Clubs obedience judge examination. Having competed, judged and tested at the various activities I never fail to marvel at the great bond owners have with their faithful companions and always encourage new owners to try and participate, if they can, in any one of the many canine activities around. As the saying goes “A lovingly trained dog is a happy dog” and in my experience a happy dog has a happy owner. PPDTI Adv.

Karen (Treasurer/ Chair/ Gold/ Platinum Trainer)

I've owned dogs for over 40 years and in that time have competed with them in flyball and agility. I now care for a dog with lots of health issues full time.

Ellie (Bronze/Sliver Trainer/ Commtiee Member)

Hi, I’m Ellie. I am very passionate about dogs and have plenty of experience working in different areas of the dog industry. I have worked alongside dog training club for the past 7 years and really enjoy training my own dogs. I love helping other people find the fun and enjoyment in training their own dogs using encouraging and force free methods. We look forward to seeing you!

Jane (Commtiee Member)

When I got my first puppy just 2 years ago, I knew how importantit was for him to be well trained. Joining a club where the trainers are so supportive has meant we have both made lots of progress. My dog and I love to vist places and experince new things together; i never dreamed that I'd own a dog who loves to go on steam trains and days out to visit sites of historic interest.
